Research of CBD and Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s Disease is a physical disease of the brain and one of the most important causes of dementia. It causes the build-up of protein “plaques” and “nodes” which develop in the brain and result in cell death. This progressive disease causes an increasing amount of brain damage, leading to the deterioration of the patient’s mental health. The symptoms of Alzheimer’s are:

  • Memory Loss
Becomes easily confused and struggles to remember names, places, people and recent events.
  • Mood Swings
Can easily become upset, frightened or frustrated as a result of increasing memory loss.
  • Withdrawal
Becomes much more emotionally withdrawn when communication becomes increasingly difficult.
